I diagnose benign and malignant hematologic disorders by the established state medical standards:
anamnesis (medical case history);
comprehensive medical check-up;
specialized medical tests by the latest medical developments: bone marrow tests, myelography, trepanobiopsy, flow cytometry (done in only five state clinics throughout the country), cytochemistry.
My narrow clinical interests are in the area of myeloproliferative neoplasms.
SECOND OPINION
If you would insist to reconfirm a diagnosis for a hematological disorder or if you would want to hear second opinion on prescribed treatment for same kind of disorder, you can find me at my private practice at the “Hippocrates-N” ("Хипократ-Н") medical centre (address and admission hours: top of page.)
PREVENTIVE CHECK-UP
Unfortunately, modern medicine knows very little about the genesis of hematologic disorders and virtually we do not know how to perform preventive check-ups. You should stick to your regular general check-ups with your GP, though. This way you can make sure that at least the symptoms of a potential hematologic disorder would be noticed as early as possible.
TREATMENT AND PROCEDURES
I treat by the established medical standards for hematology and by the latest developments in the treatment of malignant lymphoproliferative disorders: monoclonal antibodies, high-dose chemotherapy and autologous stem-cell transplantation. The only kind of modern treatment that I do not provide is allogeneic stem-cell transplantation, which requires very specialized training and equipment, and is generally provided in very few centres around the world.
individual attention
I would be able to pay extra individual attention to your case if I have some data about it in advance.
After you book an appointment with me, you can send me an email before the actual examination (at
) answering this short survey:
age;
in case you have already been diagnosed with an oncological condition: please, provide the date of the first diagnosis and medical tests have been done so far - you could scan and attach the test results in the email or you can just bring them at the appointment;
history of oncological diseases in your family;
any severe medical conditions to this day/ chronic ailments/ surgical interventions;
allergies.
All other topics of your condition would be discussed during the check-up.
